Where we buy, by county

Pick your county. Each section has one or two things worth knowing if you’re selling there, plus links to our local pages.

Baltimore City

We buy houses across Baltimore City, including vacant houses and houses with open code violations. If your house has a Vacant Building Notice, city law requires you to tell the buyer in writing before you sign a sale contract, and only a Use and Occupancy Permit removes the notice. We buy as-is, so you don’t have to rehab the house first.

Landlords: the city won’t issue or renew a rental license while a property has open code violations. If the repairs aren’t worth it, selling as-is is one way out.

Start here for Baltimore City:

Baltimore County

Baltimore County mails a final tax sale notice before a house can go to its annual tax sale, and that letter gives you 30 days to pay. If you get one, call early, because a sale can pay off the back taxes at settlement.

Estates for Baltimore County homes go through the Register of Wills in Towson, and county rentals need a rental license, which usually takes an inspection.

Local pages:

Anne Arundel County

Anne Arundel doesn’t license single-family rentals the way Baltimore County does, but a property with two or more rental units needs a Multiple Dwelling License. You don’t need a license to sell, and we buy rentals as-is, even with tenants in place.

Local pages:

Howard County

Howard County requires a rental license, with an inspection, for most homes the owner doesn’t live in. In the Ellicott City Historic District, exterior work like new windows, siding or a roof needs Historic Preservation Commission approval before it starts, so selling as-is can save you that step.

Local pages:

Carroll County

Estates for Carroll County homes go through the Register of Wills in Westminster. We work with the personal representative and the estate’s attorney on timing, and you can leave behind belongings you don’t want.

Nearby counties: We buy houses in Bowie (Prince George’s County) and We buy houses in Bel Air (Harford County).

Don’t see your town? We also buy in other parts of central Maryland. Call (443) 585-0922 and we’ll tell you quickly.
